This week may go down in football history as one of the most scandalous seven day periods in the history of the beautiful game.
Manchester City were handed a ban from all UEFA competitions for their financial misconduct, and PSG’s owner has been charged in association with bribing a FIFA official.
Of course, the PSG chairman’s ongoing issues could have a huge knock-on effect for Leeds United.
Rumours have circulated for months that Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s investment group, QSI, are interested in buying the club, but it’s hard to see that happening if he’s found guilty of bribery.

For all the criticism Andrea Radrizzani gets from Leeds fans, it’s amicable how impressive he is when it comes to following guidelines and not breaking the rules.
The Italian has some strong business ethics, and he frowns upon anyone who goes against what he deems as fair and legitimate.
He spoke to TalkSPORT last year about Derby’s questionable sale of Pride Park in order to circumvent FFP issues, and he scolded them for exploiting this loophole.
“I think to whether a shortcut to go around the financial fair play regulation is not ethically correct. It might be correct and allowed by the rules according to what had been reported by the chairmen of the league but at the same time it’s not ethically correct,” he told TalkSPORT (Via LeedsLive).
The current chairman took over from Massimo Cellino, and Leeds’ reputation was in tatters with Cellino at the helm, with the ex-owner receiving an 18-month ban from all football-related activities for breaching agent regulations.
However, Radrizzani has managed to restore some honour within the club by consistently playing to the rules.
Selling to QSI after this allegation of bribery would be hugely hypocritical and it would also go against everything the current owner stands for.
The Qataris would bring unrivalled wealth to Elland Road, but is it worth selling your soul for a bottomless pit of money? That’s something Radrizzani may have to seriously consider in the future.
In other news, one Leeds man has staked his claim with an impressive moment in training.
