Leeds fans have identified a surprise candidate to take over from Paul Heckingbottom this summer – departing Everton manager Sam Allardyce.
Everton announced on Wednesday morning that Sam Allardyce would leave the club with immediate effect, and Leeds fans are eyeing up the former England manager.
Of course, Paul Heckingbottom is still Leeds manager, and excluding a couple of rumours here and there, there are no signs of that changing any time soon.
The former Barnsley man replaced Thomas Christiansen in February, but picked up just four wins between then and the end of the season.
Despite no concrete news about his departure though, fans are desperate for the 40 year-old to leave, and they’ve settled on Allardyce as a replacement.

Fans called for Mick McCarthy when he left Ipswich, and Carlos Carvalhal’s Swansea comments certainly raised a few eyebrows, but Allardyce is the most experienced of the lot.
Everton fans grew tired of Big Sam not so much because of results but because of performances, and it’s fair to say Leeds fans would take some boring performances if it got them into the Premier League.
Big Sam got promoted with West Ham in 2012, and fans are hoping he can repeat the feat at Elland Road next year.
