Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has asked manager Arsene Wenger to use him in centre midfield, rather than on the wings, Express reports.
Ramsey has been deployed on the right in order for Wenger to use a midfield double pivot of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin in recent fixtures, with the Wales international impressing in the position.
However, the 24-year-old is not a big fan of playing in that role, and hopes that he returns to his natural position sometime in the near future.

“It’s not my preferred position,” Ramsey said. “I’m a central midfielder and that’s where I like to be.
“I like to be involved a lot more in the game. When you are out wide you don’t touch the ball for three or four minutes and I like to be at the heart of everything, trying to drive the team forward.
“But the manager’s asked me to do a job out there, and I do have the license to drift in and get involved. When we are defending I have to stay in position, but when we get the ball I can drift.
“I’m not a winger, I can’t knock the ball beyond my man like Theo does, I prefer to get in the little pockets of space and get involved and play the combinations but it’s important to do a job for the team.”
The Gunners fielded the usual 4-2-3-1 formation when they faced Swansea City at the Emirates on Monday, but came unstuck against a well-organized defence.
And a late goal from Bafetimbi Gomis ended Arsenal’s 10-match unbeaten streak, with Garry Monk’s men also doing the double over the Gunners.
But, the London club will have a chance to catch rivals Manchester City to second place with their game in hand, which is a midweek clash against Sunderland next Wednesday.
